Official Language
The official language of the Congress will be English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

Name Badge
All delegates and accompany persons must wear the Congress identification badge in a visible place.

Telephone – Mobile Phones
Pay phones are available at the Congress venue, both for local and long distance calls. Participants are kindly requested to deactivate their mobiles inside the Congress halls during the sessions.

Electricity
The electrical supply in Greece is 220 volts.

Letter of Invitation
Those persons needing an official invitation letter, in order to assist them attending the Congress, may require one from the Congress Secretariat, Everest Travel & Congresses, specifying the necessary details. It should not be considered an official invitation covering registration fees or other expenses.

Special Needs
Delegates and accompanying persons with disabilities are invited to advise the Congress Secretariat of any special requirements.


 

Tourist information - Transportation

 

By air
Easily accessible from virtually any point of departure, Athens is serviced by the new international airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”, able to serve up to 50 million passengers, situated 33 km (20 miles) from the city of Athens. Public transport to Athens is provided by express airport bus and train connections on a 24 hour basis.

By road
Athens can be reached by road via Western Balkan countries, Bulgaria, Albania and Turkey. Newly constructed motorways make driving simple and pleasant.

By sea
There are daily ferryboat connections from Italy (Ancona, Bari and Brindisi, Venice and Trieste) to Patras, the second important port to entry, approximately 180 km (110 miles) from Athens. International sea schedules will be available to you in details upon request.

By train
The main standard gauge railway network of Greece currently provides link between Athens and Nothern Greece and thus, with the rest of Europe through via Western Balkan countries and Bulgaria.
The port of Patras and hence, with Italy and Western Europe
The Middle East, via the port of Volos.

Travelling, Passport, Visa
All foreign visitors entering Greece must possess valid passports, except those from the European Union Member countries. Visa is not required from citizens of most foreign countries. Participants should check with travel agents, Greek consulate offices or diplomatic missions in their own countries, whether of not visa is required.

Athens International Airport
Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, is located 33 km southeast of Athens and is easily accessible via Metro and buses. Public transport to Athens is provided by express airport bus connections (Express Line E95 Athens Airport Express/Syntagma) on a 24-hour basis. You can also take the Metro (Blue line only) to take you to Syntagma Square the very centre of Athens, where the Congress Hotel is located.
A taxi from the airport to the city centre will cost you approximately €25-30.

Athens Metro
Athens Metro network consists of 2 lines (Red Line and Blue Line) with trains arriving every 3 minutes at rush hours and every 5-10 minutes at all other times. The Athens Metro connects Syntagma Square to the Athens International Airport in 27 minutes.

Hours of operation: Lines operate daily from 05:30am to 00:00pm.

Useful tips: 
While inside the train, announcements are made before every stop.
Metro tickets are sold at the stations cashiers and by automatic tellers.
Remember to validate your ticket before you move on to the platform.

Cancellation Policy and Refund for Accommodation.

Written notification is required for all cancellations and changes. A copy of the Accommodation Form should be attached to the letter of notification and send to Everest Travel & Congresses. Refunds will be made as follows according to the postmark on the notice of cancellation.
